I lived in Port Neches at that time, I was 7 years old. My mother brought me to the back parking lot of the Western Auto to see this image on a little house that was there. I member her holding my hand and crying, she was a drug addict at this time when we lived in Port Neches. I can recall it like 5 minutes ago...and I will never forget it. It was so beautiful...really something to see for a kid. I remember living in dark times with my mother because of the drugs in Port Neches when all this took place. I also remembering her watching Dark Shadows everyday...but when Christ appeared, things started to change at our house after visiting this parking lot which was just behide the Western Auto store. I too had another couple of experiences involving good and evil at that time before we moved back to Port Arthur.

Sorry for the tardy reply. I somehow missed your comment until now! Anyway, very good to hear from someone who knows the story. And I'd love to hear about those "other surprises" in the house.

Well, it's been 43 years (hard to believe!) since that event took place, in 1969, so I wouldn't be surprised if my memory is a bit off the mark. But as I recall the house was directly behind the old Western Auto Store. One way to be certain is to get the exact address. The lady who lived there was Mrs. Bass, so an old telephone directory kept at the city library should have the name "Bass" listed on Avenue C, and that would be the exact address. If you do get that address, would you post a message here and let me know? I'd appreciate that!

As ever,
